A 12-foot poplar gantry, marquee letters, and an illuminated menu fascia for OTR Chili, an independent Cincinnati-style chili restaurant operating out of the brewery building. Marketing designed the kiosk itself. I designed the gantry, drawing on the Pike Place Market sign, and hung it from threaded rod already in the ceiling.

Budget and timeline were both tight, so the 36-inch letters are a foam-core take on metal channel letters: a face and a back separated by MDF standoffs, sides wrapped in archival tape, with sockets set into holes in the face and the wiring soldered inside. Each finished letter is just under three inches deep. They harness together so any one can come down for repair without touching the rest. The menu fascia is MDF with LED strips inset at 30 degrees.
